| You sound paranoid. - you never stated the car ran poorly, or as if it was down a cylinder or two. - oil put in the cylinder to verify rings/seal in one cylinder would not remain after two miles of driving. - oil in the cylinder due to a head gasket would also have oil in the coolant. - you'd be smoking grey (and probably white too) if your head gasket is shot. - 'they' could have screwed up the compression test or the other 'they' could have screwed up the 120k. PS. The car is almost 15 years old. Sometimes, things happen due to age, and not due to some hidden agenda. PPS. I really do appreciate your diligence in getting the car properly checked out before your purchase. PPPS. How does the car idle?
